Conflict-Sensitive Development approach held in Al Mighlaf
The Conflict-Sensitive Development is one of the most suitable approaches that the SFD has been promoting in the conflict areas since 2011. The approach provides skills of communication, negotiation and planning to address local conflict over development projects or issues. Today, several international and local humanitarian agencies have rolled out this approach, and are training on this approach in its working areas. On 3 June, the SFD Local Empowerment for Development program team concluded a conflict-sensitive development training in Al Mighlaf (Al Hudaydah) in Yemen. The activity targeted 68 members of the SFD-supported Villages Cooperative Councils and local development committees in all sub-districts of Al Mighlaf.
