Training courses on psychological support and social beacebuilding supprt 50 education specialists

The Social Fund for Development and Ministry of Education officials launched the training ‎program on psychosocial support, active learning and improvement of literacy and ‎numeracy skills in Almakhadir district of Ibb governorate.

The training program is taking ‎place for two weeks through the implementation of two courses in the field of ‎psychological support and social peace, targeting 50 school principals and social workers, ‎two courses in the active learning of classes (4: 12) ) primary and secondary education ‎targeting 60 teachers and two other courses in improving children's reading, writing and ‎numeracy skills for grades 1: 3, targeting 70 teachers.‎
 

The aim of the training courses is to provide participants with practical concepts and ‎knowledge of the principles and topics of psychosocial support, peace-building strategies, ‎culture of dialogue in the educational environment, modern methods of active learning, ‎and literacy skills
 

On a separate event, the Ministry of Education signed an agreement with the Social Fund ‎for Development (SFD) to provide work contracts at the expense of SFD for 170 teachers, ‎‎100 in Hubaish and 70 in Alshai'r districts in order to cover the existing financial deficit for ‎rural teachers working in remote districts
