245 educators employed and nutrition of 4270 mothers improved
Under the cash-for-services for nutrition program, the SFD launched a series of training for 245 female health educators planned to support nutrition in Alsaiyani District of #Ibb Governorate. During the ceremony, Eng. Mohsen Al-Sabri, Director of SFD branch in Ibb, gave a background about the project objectives and importance of improving the current health and economic situation of the most vulnerable. The project aims to deliver monthly cash assistance to 4,270 poor lactating mothers or pregnant women attending nutrition awareness sessions the educators hold regularly in each village. The project also covers travel cost and accommodation fees for all malnourished mothers or children U5 the educators refer for treatment in relevant centers. The project also employs the trained educators for monthly wages over one year.
